Inbound calls failing and lost registration for customers on v2 registered to Atlanta
Event Timeline
- 12:17 PM EST – We received an alert that a core network element had failed resulting in dropped calls and lost registration
- 12:18 PM EST – Network element restarted and services restored
- 12:19 PM EST – Network element failed again
- 12:19 PM EST – Services failed over to remaining nodes. Phones regained registration and calls flowed normally.
Future Preventative Action
Affected network element was removed from production and replaced with a spare. Services were routed back to the primary nodes. Investigation will continue to determine cause of initial network failure.
